What Makes a Manager?

  • Poor Managers - create an illusion of productivity through busy-ness
  • Average Managers - finish work, but not always the right work
  • Great Managers - accomplish goals and develop people

A great manager should also make contact with people, learn what work people are doing, prioritise the work and develop people through feedback and coaching.
