Using Google Calendar Sync with Outlook 2010

Thanks to various sources for this hack:
  • Close Outlook 2010
  • Open C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\Outlook.exe in Notepad++ using the Hex-Editor plugin
  • On line 72923 change the value "14.0.0." to "12.0.0."
  • Save the changes then re-open Outlook 2010

This post was for Outlook 2010 beta - in the RTM the line to edit is 50575.
