Agile Reality over Rhetoric

I recently read Scott Ambler's post on Agile Reality over Rhetoric and found the following three statements/techniques interesting and think it is fair to say I probably subscribe to them:
  1. Simple designs are best BUT the architecture should be thought out early in the lifecycle
  2. Delivery teams don’t need prescriptive process definitions BUT they do need some high-level guidance to help organize their work
  3. IT professionals know what to do BUT they’re still not process experts
